A newcomer to public presentation of her work, Penny’s current fibre works represent evolution of technique and focus over many years. A practical seamstress from her earliest years, a botanist by training, a gardener by inclination and an award winning costume designer for community theatre, Penny uses the media of silk painting and free motion machine embroidery to create small works often with three-dimensional qualities that are presented in distinctive white museum quality mats and frames.
