My creative journey began before I can remember. I give thanks for my grandmother, an aristocratic Hungarian, who sewed all her own clothes and later bequeathed to me her tiny black Singer with which I created my first machine ‘works’. As a young child, I was encouraged to express my right brain. I soldered silver jewellery, wove, threw clay, but fabric has always drawn me in; the complexities of the textures, the sensuality of an art form that begs to be touched, and represents an alluring warm embrace. Throughout my years as a therapist in Social Work, I fed my artistic side by pursuing fine art studies at the Ontario School of Art and Design, the Toronto School of Art, and the Avenue Road Arts School in painting, printmaking and fibre arts. My curiosity about the world has led me to travel extensively and is reflected in my creative process. As a result, my works have been exhibited internationally. My artistic goal is to reflect how our differences create the beauty of harmony and balance. The complexity of this world is forever inspiring. It is an honor to share this journey with you. |

Serene Flight 22” x 24” This piece was created with acrylic paints layered with organza, free motion stitchery, threadwork and beaded embellishments. To be auctioned March, 2008 to benefit “Yad Sarah”, a non-profit, non-sectarian charity providing medical and rehab care to elderly, in an effort to keep them in their own homes. This is a charity helping one of every two families in Israel. Commissions for similar works accepted.
